We are offering a free download of any album on our site. Awesome. There is one small catch though: You need to write a simple review of that album for some publication, be it a magazine, music site, blog, your website, craigslist, whatever... . You just have to email us at info@capsulerecords.com with "music review" in the subject and let us know what album you want and where you are going to write the review and we will make it happen. In the review, just mention the site or a link to the album. It can be a few words or a short novel. Give it a rating out of 5. Let us know when the review is posted and we will link to it from our site. Show us what you can do and we may make you a regular contributor on our site. Best of all, you will get some great free music... although its greatness is largely up to you to decide. Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you! |

In a new Friday feature we are going to call "Jingles for Singles", we are going to feature a great track from one of our artists that we think will be perfect to kick your weekend in to gear... whether you are single or not (Jingles for Couples just didn't have that ring to it!) The first selection is from the New Brunswick band Share. Hailing from Canada with their unique blend of "yuke" rock, this trio released their album Pedestrian on Capsule last year and it was very well received. Their single "Too Shy to Blush" is infectious and is the first installment in "Jingles for Singles". Check it out below. Everyone should go and check out the Baby Teardrops tonight (April 24th) at the Delancey in NYC (168 Delancey Street, between Clinton and Attorney). Its starts at 8pm. They are a great New York band who are just releasing their first album called "Banged in the Heart". We are hoping to have it up on this site soon. They play pulsing rock with finely woven guitar lines and interesting melodic vocal parts harmonized by the leader singer Matthew Dunehoo and their female bass player. It's a unique sound that truly grabs your attention. It is also a joint party for Matthew's birthday as well as a member of one of the other bands, so its sure to be celebratory event. Capsule gives it a thumbs up! |
